It depends on the size and complexity of the site. However, one of the biggest factors is the content of the site (the pictures and text for the pages): do you already have it or must it be created? If you have the content "ready to go", then smaller web sites can be done in usually a week.

Flash and animated graphics initially look pleasing, but after a while they can become distracting and irritating. In addition, these types of files can be large, slowing down the loading of the page. Our general recommendation is to avoid them unless there's an overriding reason to use them.

Once the website is paid for, it is owned by you and/or your company. The domain name is "leased" on a yearly basis from the InterNIC. They are the controlling body for all World Wide Web domain names. A yearly renewal is required.
Generally, yes, but the site must be submitted to each search engine for their consideration before they will include it. You can do the submission yourself or take advantage of one of our search engine submission packages.
It depends. Our sites are designed from scratch to meet your individual needs. Some web site companies use "templates" and just fill in your information, and while this does still provide a nice website, it is far from unique. Meeting a competitor's price is done on a case-by-case basis.
No. If you desire, we can build your website as a stand-alone project and then send the finished files to you either electronically or by regular mail on a CD.
